The 20th Young Scholars' Conference on Philippine Studies in Japan
We are pleased to inform you that the 20th Young Scholars' Conference on Philippine Studies in Japan will be held at University of Shizuoka on July 4 and 5, 2015. The conference will be open to academics, students and practitioners who are interested in issues associated with the Philippines. Young scholars and practitioners are particularly encouraged to present their papers. Presentation Details:
Individual presentation (for both academics and practitioners):20 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for the open forum.
*Please let us know if you need anything other than the usual projector and screen.
*We encourage you to bring your own laptop computer. If impossible, inform us.
Please submit the form by 25 May 2015, Monday. (For non-presenters, by 25 June 2015, Thursday.)

Japanese, English or Filipino (No translation will be provided.)

Registration Fee (payable on site):
Full-time instructors 3,500 yen
Graduate students/Part-time instructors 2,500 yen
Undergraduate students/Foreign students 1,500 yen
Reception (payable on site):
Full-time instructors 3,000 yen
Graduate students/Part-time instructors 2,000 yen
Undergraduate students/Foreign students 1,000yen
Submission of the Extended Abstract for the Conference Proceedings:
A presenter is required to submit an extended abstract of the presentation (3 pages of A4 size maximum) to the organizing committee by e-mail by July 3 in MS Word format. If you fail to submit it by this date, your extended abstract will NOT be included in the proceedings.
After receiving your submission, we will send you a confirmation within a week.
Purchasing conference proceedings:
One copy of the conference proceedings will be provided free for all paid registrants. For non-participants who want to purchase the conference proceedings (1,000 yen per copy, domestic shipping in Japan only), please contact us. We will send you a copy upon receiving your payment.
Note: For those who live outside Japan attending the conference, the organizing committee does NOT provide any assistance for visa application.
